Ariane Sherine

Ariane Sherine has enjoyed a high-profile 23-year career as a journalist and author. She discovered she had a good eye for photography after having hundreds of professional photos taken of herself for newspaper and magazine features. She noticed that her own photographs of herself and other people were generally more flattering.

She transitioned into being a photographer from writing features and reviews and taking photos for Digital Camera World, the world’s leading photography website.

Ariane has also written extensively for the Guardian, as well as for the Sunday Times, Observer, Independent, Independent on Sunday, Esquire and many other national publications.

She specialises in headshots for journalists, authors and other people in the arts and media, but thinks everyone could benefit from having a beautiful set of photos taken of themselves, whether for social media, work or just to look back on. Surprising people with how good they can look is one of the joys of her job.
